Syam Pushkaran Biography
Syam Pushkaran was born on 6th September 1984 in Thuravoor, Alappuzha, Kerala, India. He is only 38 years old, belongs to Hindu religion. His birth sign is Virgo.
His parents are N Pushkaran and Geetha Devi P L. He got hitched with Unnimaya Prasad in 2012. She is an architect and actress too and acted in the movies “Anju Sundarikal”, “Maheshinte Prathikaram” and “Parava.” She worked as assistant director in the movie “Mayaanadhi.”
Education and Qualification
Syam Pushkaran completed his schooling from Government UP School and T D Higher Secondary School, Thuravoor, Cherthala. He gained graduation in Fashion Designing from Mangalore University.
Later Syam achieved a Post-Graduate Diploma in Digital Film Making from DC Film School, Thiruvananthapuram.
Career Path
After education Syam Pushkaran wrote the script for the movie “Salt N Pepper” directed by Aashiq Abu. In 2012 he penned the script for the movie “Da Thadiyaa” directed by Aashiq Abu.
Syam prepared the script for the movies ‘5 Sundharikal” and “Idukki Gold.”
Films
In 2011 Syam Pushkaran wrote the script for the movie “Salt N Pepper.” He wrote the script along with Dileesh Nair and directed by Aashiq Abu.
In 2012 he wrote for the movies “22 Female Kottayam” and “Da Thadiya” along with Abhilash S Kumar and Dileesh Nair.
In 2013 he wrote a part of the movie “5 Sundharikal” directed by Shyju Khalid. He also wrote for the movie “Idukki Gold” in 2013.

In 2017 he achieved the ‘Padmarajan Awards’ and ‘Movie Street Film Awards’ for best movie (Mayaanadhi).
Syam Pushkaran received in 2019, the ‘Vanitha Film Awards’, ‘Movie Street Film Awards’, ‘CPC Cine Awards’ and ‘Critic’s Choice Film Awards’ for best screenplay in the movie “Kumbalangi Nights.”
