Santhosh started his career in 1992 as a journalist and creates telefilms and documentaries for various channels.
Later in 1996, he presumes the leadership of Labour India Publications, which provides essential magazines and journals for students and kids.
In 1997 he creates some telefilms and documentaries named ‘Maluvinte Lokam’, ‘Krishnagaadha’, ‘Samayam’ and ‘Acharya.’ He was very interested in journalism and traveling since childhood.
At the age of 27, he decided to begin a travelogue by conducting journeys to different countries. He named the travelogue broadcasting ‘Sancharam’ and it was first telecasted on the Asianet channel.
On 1st November 2013, he launched a channel named ‘Safari TV’ and this channel telecasted the ‘Sancharam’ program. He is regarded as the chief explorer and managing director of the Safari channel.
This is the first visual travelogue in Malayalam and won the award of ‘Limca Book of Records.’ Santhosh George Kulangara is a solo traveler and he traveled across all countries. He explores the countries and captured the sceneries, lifestyle, culture, traditions, history, food style, habits, etc.
Santhosh started his solo trip in 1997 and traveled through 130 countries and seven continents. Since 2001 this visual travelogue was telecasted on the Asianet channel. After that, it was aired on the Safari channel from 2013 onwards.

Santhosh George Kulangara is a renowned film director and producer who work in Malayalam and English film industry. In 2010 Santhosh made an English film titled ‘Chandaryaan’ based on India’s Chandarayaan 1 project.
This film was released in 2011 and the main characters in the film are chief architects of the real Chandrayaan 1 project.
He became part of the ‘Virgin Galactic Space’ and was known as India’s first space tourist. He was selected for the space trip in 2007 and undergoes a ‘zero-gravity experience.’

Santhosh won various awards and honors. He won the ‘Kerala Sahitya Academy Award’ in 2012 for Best Travelogue, also procured the ‘Asian Television Award’, and ‘K R Narayanan Award’ given by the Institute of K R Narayanan foundation.
In 2004 Santhosh won the ‘Yuva Prathibha Award’ and ‘Kerala Film Critics Award for Best Program Director.
