Lakshmi Nakshathra began learning classical music in childhood and was interested in acting, mono act, and music competitions and won prizes in Kerala School competitions.
Lakshmi Nakshathra started her career as a Radio Jockey on Red FM in 2007 and worked as a video jockey on a cable channel in Thrissur.
Then Lakshmi Nakshathra participated in a cookery show titled ‘Really Tasty’ and hosted many television programs.
