Early life and Career
Vidhu Prathap was studying the lessons of music when he was only three years old. During school days he was one of the contestants in songs, mimicry, and mono-act. While studying in college he was the Secretary of the art club in college.
In 1997 he received the ‘Voice of the Year Award’ in the music competition conducted by Asianet. In 1988 he sang a song in the movie “Paadamudra” directed by R Sukumaran.
Later he participated in many television shows, stage shows, and other music competitions. Vidhu Prathap performed for the films such as “Niram”, “Sayahnam”, “Nammal”, “Meesa Madhavan” “Lollipop”, etc.
Vidhu Prathap was the star of the serial named ‘Pattukalude Pattu” directed by Sreekumaran Thampi. Later he anchored the music reality show named “Idea Star Singer” (2006). He was the judge of the show Top Singer’ and ‘Super 4 Season 2.’
