Education and Qualification
He completed primary education from Panangad High School, Nettoor, and completed his graduation from Sacred Heart College, Thevara and post-graduation in Social Work from Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kochi.
Then he gained a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram, and a Master of Laws (LLM) from Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram.
V D Satheesan Early Life
He started his career as an advocate in Kerala High Court and later he was elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly in 2001.
In 2006 he won the Kerala Assembly Elections from Paravur constituency against K M Dinakaran.
In 2011 he won the Kerala Legislative Assembly against the Communist party leader Pannyan Raveendran.
He was elected as a member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly from the Paravur constituency by defeating the Communist Party leader Sarada Mohan in 2016.
And in 2021 he was elected as the member of Kerala Legislative Assembly from Paravur constituency by defeating the Communist Party of India leader M T Nexon.
On 22nd May 2022, he was declared as the Leader of Opposition in the 15th Kerala Legislative Assembly. He was preceded by Ramesh Chennithala during the reign of Governor Arif Mohammed Khan.
