He worked as a music director in many movies like Virus(2019), Anjaam Pathira, Kappela, Trance, Kilometers and Kilometers, Malik(2021), Kurup(2021), Minnal Murali(2021) and Bheeshma Parvam (2022).

Sushin Shyam was born on 13 February 1992 in Thalassery in Kannur, Kerala, India. His parents are Shyam Prakash and Kalavathi Shyam. His father is a musician and guitarist. Sushin Shyam learned the technique of playing the keyboard from his father. His parents always support him in a successful career.
He loves to play ghazals. He studied at Thalassery St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School, and Mambaram Higher Secondary School, Thalassry. Sushin entered his movie career at the early age of 19 along with his mentor Deepak Dev. His artwork has been released in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada languages. He got engaged to Uthara.
Sushin Shyam Career Journey
Sushin Shyam worked as a Keyboardist under the composer Rasheed for the album “Akalukayano”, which was one of the celebrated and trending songs at that time. It became very popular among the Malayalee audience. Later he joined with Down Troddence Band and their album “How are you, We are fine, Thank you” were released in the year 2014.
The band is very unique for the blend of conventional thrash and groove metal sound with a touch of traditional folk music elements and art forms of Kerala. “Shiva” is the first music video of the Down Troddence band and it received seven awards at the Rolling Stones in 2015.
Within a time span of four years, Sushin Shyam programmed forty-five Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil background scores. In 2012, he composed music for the short film “Oru Kutti Chodhyam” directed by Ganesh Raj. One of the famous guitarist Rex Vijayan invited Sushin to perform the background score for the movie “Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi.” In 2013 he composed the music and sang the song ‘Thazhvaaram’ for the same film.
Sushin got another opportunity to compose the background score for the film “Sapthamashree Thaskaraha” directed by Anil Radhakrishnan Menon, in 2014. This is the first independent project of Sushin Shyam as a composer. Shyam performed his second song ‘Kayi ethum Doorathu’ for the same film. In 2015, he composed the background score for the film directed by Anil Radhakrishnan Menon named Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi.
In 2017, he composed another song for the movie “Ezra” directed by Jay. K. Sushin Shyam performed ‘Thambiraan’ and ‘Irulu Neelum Raave’ for the film “Ezra” and it was well-received by the audience and critics. Sushin also did the background scores for the films “Villain” and “The Great Father” in 2017.
In 2018, his works were “Maradona”, “Lilli” and “Varathan”. His 2019 releases were “Virus” and “Kumbalangi Nights.” His compositions for both films were widely appreciated and praised. Along with Jackson Vijayan, he co-composed a background score for the film “Trance” and it was released in February 2020.
In 2022 Sushin Shyam’s first release is “Bheeshma Parvam” and it is one of the famous movies directed by Amal Neerad. The songs like ‘Parudeesa’ received better popularity among the audience.
