Muhammed Ashique Kuruniyan is an Indian and renowned football player. He plays as a winger or left-back for ISL (Indian Super League) club ATK Mohun Bagan and Indian National Team. He became a professional football player at an age of 25.

Early Life and Career

He played football in the evenings after finishing his work in his father’s shop. He played in the paddy fields for entertainment. Later Kerala Football Association selected him by their scheme Vision India and he was in that academy until 2014. He was an important figure in Pune. I-League and became the runner-up in the 2014-15 I-League U19 Season.

Ashique joined in Pune City Academy team in 2016 and later announced that he would join Villarreal C. after four months of coaching in Spain he come back to India in 2017, after happening a hamstring injury. In July 2017, Ashique returned back to his career and joined in Indian Super League campaign.

He played well and achieved many honors and recognitions. After the disperse of FC Pune in 2018-19, Ashique joined Bengaluru in 2019 and signed a four-year contract. After that, he showed his best and outstanding performances and currently he was in ATK Mohun Bagan Team. Ashique received many honors and recognitions including International Cup in 2018 and SAFF Championship in 2018 (runner-up).

This happened in the 48th minute of the play by a foul play by Odisha’s Jerry Mawihmingthanga. Suddenly he was taken away to the nearby hospital.
