Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, a prominent Malayalam filmmaker, has recently alleged foul play in the death of his relative, Sandhya, a 40-year-old resident of Thiruvananthapuram. He suspects the involvement of an ‘organ mafia’ in her demise, citing bruises found on her arms, neck, and under the eyes as indicators of potential foul play.
In a separate development, Sasidharan has been accused by a prominent Malayalam actress of harassment on social media platforms. The actress filed a complaint alleging that Sasidharan persistently harassed her online, leading to the registration of a case against him by the Elamakkara police in Kochi.
The charges against Sasidharan include stalking, criminal intimidation, and defamation under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). These are non-bailable offenses, and the Kochi City police have issued a lookout circular to prevent him from leaving the country.
The actress also recorded a confidential statement in court, detailing the alleged harassment and the impact on her personal and professional life. This statement is expected to play a crucial role in the ongoing investigation.
