The Kerala Plus One Result 2026 for Higher Secondary Education (HSE) and Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) will be announced today, bringing an end to the anxious wait of lakhs of students and parents across the state.
According to the Department of General Education, Kerala, students will be able to check their Plus One First Year Results from 3:00 PM onwards. Once the results are officially declared, candidates can access their marks, grades, and result status through the official result portal at results.hse.kerala.gov.in.
Students are advised to keep their registration number and other required details ready to avoid delays while checking their results. Due to heavy traffic immediately after the announcement, the official website may experience temporary slowdowns. If that happens, students should wait a few minutes and try again.
Why Was the Kerala Plus One Result Delayed?
Last year, the Kerala Plus One Result was announced on June 2. This year, the result was originally expected to be published on June 10. However, the announcement was postponed until July because several examinations conducted in Gulf and West Asian countries had to be rescheduled. As a result, the evaluation process was completed later than originally planned.
Kerala Plus One Exam 2026 Overview
The Kerala Plus One examinations were conducted from March 5 to March 27, 2026 across examination centres in the state. Around 4 lakh students from the Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams appeared for the examinations this year.
The final result has been prepared based on a total of 100 marks, consisting of:
- 80 marks for the written examination.
- 20 marks for practical examinations and internal assessment.
The combined score determines the student’s final grade and eligibility for promotion to the next academic level.
Minimum Passing Marks
To successfully pass the Kerala Plus One Examination 2026, students must score at least 35% marks in each subject. Candidates who achieve the required minimum marks in all subjects will qualify for admission to the Plus Two (Second Year) course.
Students are encouraged to carefully verify their marks and personal details after downloading the result. If they notice any discrepancy, they should contact their respective school authorities for guidance.
SAY Examination for Students
Students who are unable to secure the minimum passing marks in one or more subjects should not lose hope. The Department of General Education will conduct the SAY (Save A Year) Examination, providing eligible students with another opportunity to improve their scores and continue their studies without losing an academic year.
The detailed schedule for the SAY Examination, including application dates, examination timetable, and result announcement, is expected to be released by the department after the publication of the Plus One results.
Students and parents are advised to rely only on official announcements for accurate information regarding the result, revaluation, scrutiny, and supplementary examinations. After downloading the scorecard, students should keep a printed or digital copy for future admission and academic purposes until the original mark list is issued by their school.
